Donald G. Scanlin, Chairman, was born and raised in Southern California. For over 25 years, Mr. Scanlin has focused his efforts on the acquisition, development, and sale of commercial properties in his role as an independent real estate investor. His current investments include a diverse portfolio of commercial and recreational properties located in the Western US. His professional experience has also included brokerage and consulting activities in both the real estate and oil industries. He has been a resident of Ojai for 25 years. He has been involved in many community activities and organizations over the years. He holds both a B.A. Degree and Masters Degree in Petroleum Geology from the University of California.

John W. Russell was born and raised in Los Angeles County, and currently lives in Ojai. He founded Rusco, Inc. in 1957, a supplier of lockers to schools and industry in the Western United States. In 1985 he founded The Alethian Group, which specializes in interview-based research for hospitals and churches. Mr. Russell is a former Founder and Director of California State Bank in Covina, which was sold in 1998. He is and has been involved in many community activities and organizations, including President of the Board of Directors of The Pasadena Humane Society, a Board Member of Hospice of Pasadena, a Board Member of Boy Scouts of' America - Los Angeles Area, and a Kiwanis member for over 26 years. Currently, he is Board Secretary of the Huntington Medical Research Institute, Board Member of Community Memorial Hospital, and a member of the Rotary Club of Ojai. He has a B.S. degree in Psychology from the University of Southern California (Los Angeles), a Certificate in International Business and Finance from Pepperdine University, and an MBA degree in Strategic Planning from Pepperdine University.

David Brubaker, President and CEO, is a long time resident of Ventura, having graduated from Ventura High School. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration, Finance from San Diego State University and has over 25 years of banking experience. His experience has focused on community banks in Santa Barbara and Ventura counties. including Santa Paula Savings, Bank of A. Levy, Ventura County Credit Union, Bank of Ventura and Business First National Bank. Most recently, he was the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of County Commerce Bank in Ventura. He lives with his wife Karen and children Matthew and Victoria.

George MeltonGeorge R. Melton was born and raised in Tennessee and found his way to California in 1968. He has owned a home in the Ojai Valley since 1987. He is currently chairman, chief executive officer and president of Wyle, headquartered in El Segundo, California. He was named to the position early in 2005 concurrent with Wile’s acquisition of the Aeronautics Service business of General Dynamics. Wyle is recognized as a leading provider of specialized engineering, scientific and technical services to the Department of Defense, NASA and a variety of commercial customers.

Melton has extensive experience in the aerospace sector. Prior to joining EG&G, Melton was president of several aerospace component and sub-system manufacturers that were ultimately acquired by BAE Systems. Ranging in size from $300 million to $1billion of revenue, Melton’s responsibilities included president of Tracor Aerospace, Marconi Aerospace and ultimately BAE Systems Aerospace Sector. Mr. Melton graduated with a B.S. from the University of Tennessee and served in the U.S. Army. He currently resides both in Ojai and Pacific Palisades to facilitate his work schedule. George is a board member of the Ojai Libbey Bowl Foundation and a supporter of the Ojai Valley Community Hospital Foundation.

Dr. Martin Pops, a sixteen-year resident of Ojai, has had a very successful medical career which includes a BS from UCLA, an MD from University of Chicago, a Residency in Internal Medicine and a Fellowship in Gastroenterology, both at the UCLA Medical Center. He has held positions as Professor of Medicine, Dean of Students, and Chairman of the Committee on Admissions of the UCLA Medical School. He is currently Emeritus Professor of Medicine and has published a substantial body of work.

He also currently serves as the Chairman of the Community Memorial Health System Board of Trustees and has served on numerous Boards, including the Ojai Community Hospital, the UCLA Medical Center Board of Advisors, the Ojai Tennis Tournament, and the Ojai Rotary Club, as President.

Robin Rossi was born and raised in Ohio. Mr. Rossi's is a licensed Architect with a background in environmental and master planning. His current business involvements include investments in commercial and recreational real estate, particularly 'landmark properties." He also is vineyard owner. Mr. Rossi is a founding director of Mission Community Bank in San Luis Obispo. He is involved in many community efforts including Board Member for Special Olympics, Director of the San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce, and member of the San Luis Obispo Performing Arts Board. Mr. Rossi is very active in fund raising for California Polytechnic University and 'was Honored Alumni of the College of Architecture and Environmental Design in 2000. He graduated from California Polytechnic University (San Luis Obispo) with a degree in Architecture.

Dietrich Schmidt was born and raised in Germany and joined a family-owned seed company that was founded by his great-grandfather in 1880. He immigrated to the United States in 1960 and joined Petoseed Company, an international seed production company with operations in 10 countries and sales in 110 countries and with headquarters in Saticoy (Ventura County) in 1961 working his way from trainee to his appointment as CEO in 1977. From 1977 to 1996 the company's sales grew from $13 million to $225 million with 1,550 employees. Mr. Schmidt sold the company in 1997, and he retired from the Company in 1997. In 2000 he founded Magnum Seeds, inc., a company specializing in hybrid cucurbit and solanum seeds and retired in 2004 while continuing to work in the industry as a board member and consultant with various companies. He has been a resident of Ojai since 2000 and owns a 700 acre farm in Northern California growing rice, walnuts and various row crops. He and his wife been involved in many professional, community activities and community organizations including the Ojai Museum, the Ojai Music Festival Committee, the Ojai Valley Community Hospital Foundation Guild, Ojai Valley Athletic Club and Ojai Rotary Club. He is a member of the Ventura County Agriculture Board, Past President of the American Seed Trade Association and Past President of the International Seed Federation. He has a degree in Agriculture Engineering earned in Germany.

William B. Sechrest was born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. Mr. Sechrest practiced law in Kansas City, Missouri, from 1967-1969 and then in Dallas, Texas, from 1969-2006, the last 33 years of his practice in Dallas, Texas, being with the law firm he co-founded, then known as Winstead, Sechrest and Minick PC. From January 1, 2007, through June 30, 2008, Mr. Sechrest served as “Counsel” with Shartsis Friese, LLP, a San Francisco law firm. Mr. Sechrest currently serves as lead director of The Men’s Wearhouse, Inc., a New York Stock Exchange company; as Executive Chair of the Institute of Noetic Sciences, a California not for profit organization; as a founder and on the board of directors of Ojai Energy Systems, Inc., an operating company producing both portable and stationary energy storage products; and, as a founder and on the board of directors of BioCee, Inc., a biochemical company located in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Mr. Sechrest continues to maintain his license to practice law in the State of Texas, maintaining his residence in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Sechrest is past Chairman of Vitamin Angels Alliance, a Santa Barbara based non profit. He has been involved in many professional, community and civic organizations including serving as a member of the Dallas Citizens Council, a member of the Board of Directors of Esalen Institute, Past President of the Real Estate Section of the Dallas Bar Association, a member of the Board of Directors of the Dallas Institute of Humanities and Culture, and a member of the Board of Directors of the World Business Academy. He has authored two books and a number of academic articles. Mr. Sechrest is a founding Director of the Ojai Community Bank in Ojai California. He has a B.A. degree in Economics from Stanford University and a J.D. degree from Southern Methodist University, Dedman School of Law.

Esther Wachtell is founder and retired president of The Wachtell Group, a fundraising consulting company specializing in large capital campaigns throughout the West, Ms. Wachtell is active in charitable activities locally and regionally. She serves as president of the Ojai Music Festival, as a director of the Museum of Ventura County, and as volunteer consultant for the Campaign to Rebuild Libbey Bowl in Ojai. Farther from home, she chairs the Development Committee for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles and served as founding chair of the Center on Philanthropy and Public Policy at the University of Southern California.

Ms. Wachtell holds a master’s degree from Cornell University. She has studied and lectured on nonprofit management at the Anderson Graduate School of Management at UCLA. She and her husband, Tom Wachtell, manage an apple orchard at their Oak Knoll ranch. Tom is chairman and CEO of an independent oil and gas exploration and production company. They have three grown children and 10 grandchildren.

Lawrence (Larry) E. Wilde III was born and raised in Glendale, California. He has been a resident of Ojai since 1975 and has nearly thirty years of experience in Ojai's residential/commercial real estate market As co-owner and broker, Mr. Wilde founded the Ojai Property Shoppe in 1978. In 1986, his office has employed forty Real Estate agents affiliated with Coldwell Banker and is in the top 10% in sales internationally of Coldwell Banker offices. Personally, Mr. Wilde specializes in high end real estate transactions and has been annually listed among the top 1% in Real Estate sales nationally. He is and has been involved in numerous community and professional activities. Mr. Wilde has served as Past President of both the Ojai Valley Board of Realtors and Rotary of Ojai. He has also served on the Board of Governors and Board of Directors for the Ojai Valley Music Festival and the Board of Governors for the Ojai Valley Youth Foundation. He attended Glendale College, Orange Coast College and majored in Business Real Estate Finance at San Diego State University.
