Ojai Community Bank is genuinely involved in the communities we serve.
Our staff, directors, shareholders and customers represent just about every facet of the Ojai and Santa Paula communities.

As a TRUE community bank, we believe it is important to be involved in the community we live in and serve. We put on events at the Bank, volunteer for service around the town and support many organizations in their mission. We are making a difference with more than just our dollars. Here’s what we’ve been up to recently as well as some great events just around the corner ~

January
January 12 - Saturday ~ E-waste Day 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

In partnership with Ojai Valley Directory, Ojai Community Bank, Gold Coast Recycling & Transfer, and PC Pros, the Ojai Valley Green Coalition will once again hold an e-waste recycling event on Saturday, January 7, 2013, in the Ojai Community bank’s parking lot, located at 402 W. Ojai Ave. Ojai, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, rain or shine.

January 14 – March 9 – Ojai Artist in the Lobby – Theda DeRamus

Theda DeRamus is an Ojai Artist mainly working in pastels. Most of her work is scenes around Ojai with some subjects from trips out of the valley. She also, enjoys floral and plant life and paints both in en pleine air and from her photos.

She was a costume designer for theater & films, a landscape designer and instructor in arts and crafts. She has painted since childhood but has been doing pastels since 2000 and loves working directly with the colors and experiencing the tactile sensations when applying the pastels.

March
March 11 – May 14- Ojai Artist in the Lobby – Sharon Butler Student Group

Sharon Butler has been teaching art in Ojai since 1982 and has inspired thousands of students along the way. This showing features her senior citizen class and a wealth of talent as you can see from the samples attached. Come by the Bank and see these wonderful pieces in person during regular bank hours.

You are also invited to a public reception Thursday, March 14th from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. in the Ojai branch (PDF).

April
April 20th – Shred Day, 9am-noon

Start gathering your old documents now. Bring them to the Ojai Community Bank parking lot on Saturday, April 20th between 9 and 12:00 p.m. The items will be shredded on site while you are there. Protect your identity and help the planet as the tons of documents will all be recycled and you will help save many trees.

May 6 –June 28 - Ojai Artist in the Lobby – David Paul Dobek

American modernist painter David Paul Dobek strives to create bold, life-affirming images in his original, ever-evolving artistic style. From delicious still life paintings to sensual land and seascapes, David's artwork evokes the seasoned emotional content of a true artist. Collected from Australia to Europe, and throughout the U.S. and California, the paintings of David Paul Dobek are an international treasure.

Labor Day – September 2 – Bank closed Monday
